Fireworks
I woke up this morning hearing and singing this chorus from a Katy Perry song, “Cause baby your a firework, come on let’s show em what your worth. Make 'em go, Ah, ah, ah As you shoot across the sky.”
As I was singing the words to the song throughout my morning routine, I felt a sense of celebration. Holy Spirit reminded me of the dream that I had prior to waking up. In the dream, we were gathered with a large group of family and friends waiting to watch a FIREWORK show. There was a huge crowd of people, as it was a big celebration. I could feel the excitement and anticipation.
While praying into this, I was reminded of a conversation I had with my sister in Christ the day before, where we were talking about the things God had shown us and our children through dreams. She had shared that her son had a dream a while back of fireworks relating to the election.
As I pressed in with Holy Spirit as to what was on His heart, He brought me back to another dream I had back in August of 2019. We were gathered with a large group of people along Point Loma Harbor to watch fireworks. There were people from my daughter’s school and people we knew from the church body. It was a huge crowd with people everywhere. We had favor with parking and were able to just walk right up and see the FIREWORK show. As we looked into the sky to watch the fireworks, it turned into something more supernatural, like the HEAVENS opened up. There was so much spiritual activity. Angels were soaring through the sky. We were all amazed and we knew this was a sign of a great turn around. The night I had this dream I kept seeing the numbers 226 throughout that day. I prayed into it at the time and was given the scripture in Joel on RESTORATION.
So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. - Joel 2:25-26 NKJV
Years ago I heard the audible voice of God saying “JOEL”. It was a loud thundering voice that woke me out of my slumber. As you read further in chapter 2 of the book of Joel, the scripture talks of GOD’S SPIRIT BEING POURED OUT.
“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. - Joel 2:28-30 NKJV
In listening to the words of this song and what God would be saying to His people, this verse in the song was highlighted to me. “You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine, Just own the night like the 4th of July”.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:16 NKJV
This is a word of Hope for justice and righteousness to prevail in this nation. For those who have stood in faith, the watchmen on the wall who have prayed fervently, you have broken through and there is great reason to celebrate. God is on the move. The heavens are open. Watch and see, for the victory belongs to the Lord.
