Call on the Arm of the Lord

In my time of prayer and meditating on the Word of God, the Lord brought me to Isaiah 51 and highlighted verse 9. As soon as I read it, I was brought back to a time where Holy Spirit revealed a character of Himself to me through supernatural signs and scripture.

One evening while praying and anointing our home, I accidentally poured out too much oil onto my hands. Therefore, I rubbed it into my hands and up my arms. As I was waving my arms and declaring the Word of God, I could feel the anointing all over my hands and arms. My daughter and I could even see it in the natural. It was beautiful like light flowing from hands and arms. My daughter then saw a scripture written on my arm with large evergreen trees like a tattoo. The scripture was Isaiah 51:9, which says “put on strength. O arm of the Lord.” At the time, this was all so new to us and we were in utter amazement of our Mighty God.

“Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake as in the ancient days, In the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent? Are You not the One who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over? So the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” - Isaiah 51:9-11 NKJV

This scripture is from the Book of the Prophets and speaks of the time when the Israelites were exiled from Babylon and the promises that God will deliver His people and His church. Matthew Henry’s commentary on this scripture starting from Verse 1 says, “That God, who raised his church at first out of nothing, will take care that it shall not perish. That the righteousness and salvation he designs for his church are sure and near, very near and very sure. That the persecutors of the church are weak and dying creatures. That the same power which did wonders for the church formerly is now engaged and employed for her protection and deliverance.”

This was approximately five years ago, when I was learning how to prepare and use anointing oil. I would fill little jars with olive oil and essential oils, lift them up to the Lord in prayer. Declaring that they were no longer olive oil, but the pure and holy blood of Jesus, and that everywhere it was placed would be made holy. In Exodus 30, verses 22-30, we learn of the holy anointing oil the Lord spoke to Moses about, which was used to consecrate.

This was a time where we were developing a relationship with Holy Spirit and meditating on the Word of God. My daughter and I would pray and anoint our home on a regular basis. As the Lord opened our eyes to the spirit realm, we saw darkness for what it was and we were dedicated to make our home a place of peace and purity - a place Holy Spirit would reside.

During this time, we also learned an important aspect of anointing oil, which is to keep it pure and protect it from being contaminated. Holy Spirit is very sensitive and can be quenched or grieved. Therefore, be sure your oil does not become corrupted by sin and giving in to your flesh. Scripture tells us to shine our light which exposes darkness. The Word of God tells us how to WALK IN THE LIGHT in Ephesians 5, verses 8-14.

“If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” - 1 John 1:6-7 NKJV

This wisdom is also relevant with the anointing on our lives as the remnant. The anointing is needed and necessary for us to enter the holy of holies. Otherwise if we are laden in sin and in our flesh, the weighty glory of His presence would crush us. Any believer that has encountered Jesus, would want nothing more than to be in His presence. The things of this world are nothing compared to His glory. In Hebrews it says that because of the blood of Jesus, we can come boldly and have confidence that we will not be destroyed when we enter into the holy of holies. The Word of God also tells us how to WALK IN WISDOM in Ephesians 5, verses 15-20 KJV

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. - Hebrews 10:19-22 NKJV

In praying into all that the Lord is saying at this time through this word, I feel a strong sense of celebration remaining for His church. Yes, we continue to be in a period of great shaking. As you can see from His word referenced above, He gives us instructions and encouragement for the times we are in. To keep our anointing pure, to stay in intimacy with our King and pursue Him at all costs. That in times of difficulty and things seem hopeless, God has a way of showing up and showing off. His arm is strong to protect His church from persecution. He will destroy our oppressor and the enemy of our souls, just like He did with Rahab.

“You have brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.” - Jeremiah 32:21 NKJV

In these times of the great shaking, we must stand firm in our faith and His word and promises for His people. I say this to you, the remnant of the Lord, this is the time to call on the ARM OF THE LORD! The days of sorrow will not last long. “You will sing and have EVERLASTING JOY”, says God! Our King is rejoicing and the heavens are filled with celebration. Jesus is coming for His spotless bride. Stay alert and ready. His Kingdom will come and His will be done. “COME UP HIGHER”, says the Lord. The veil is torn and this is your invitation to dance with your King in the holy of holies.

“Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow. I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.” -Jeremiah 31:13-14 NKJV
