The Waiting Season is Over
A few weeks ago I received a call from my Spiritual Mother. We had a long talk and she prayed for me through my current circumstances. I felt I was stuck at the end of a long and hard transition. God’s timing is always perfect and I am so grateful for her love and covering as I felt an immediate shift.
I was finally able to see past my current circumstances and look ahead at where God was leading me. In her prayer, she referred to scripture that included the words, “I will lack no good thing.” Since then I have been truly and intentionally seeking the Lord for His guidance, direction, and peace.
“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” - Psalm 34:10 NKJV
Just this past week, I left my bible open on my bed as I left for work, when I returned home and picked it up, it was on Psalm 84. I felt led to read it and verse 11 got my attention. It was encouraging that not just seeking the Lord but walking uprightly was crucial for my walk with Him and the path He has for me.
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” - Psalm 83:11 NKJV
In further praying into this I hear the words, “BLUE SKIES AHEAD, CLEAR FOR TAKEOFF” and saw a runway and many planes off to the side for inspection, repairs, and much-needed routine maintenance. If you have ever been in a plane stuck on the runway with no real explanation as to what the delay was, then you will understand the feelings that come with this. The need for answers, and clear direction can weigh heavy on you.
The Lord showed me there are many just like me that have been in a waiting season, seeking clear direction and guidance from the Lord and coming up short. The tension and heaviness have become almost unbearable. I then received the revelation that the term “WALKING UPRIGHTLY” is more than being honest, doing the right thing, and being confident in our faith, but it is referring to our posture and countenance. When we allow the pressures of life, discouragement, and disappointment to weigh us down, it takes us out of position and alignment for the GOOD things God has.
The word “GOOD” is used in the Bible 720 times and is in 655 verses. We know that God is good so waiting on the “GOOD” He has for us, means it is His best and it’s worth the wait.
As we are heading into the Hebrew new year 5783, the Lord is urging us to receive a supernatural chiropractic adjustment bringing us back into alignment and position so we can move forward into the NEW and GOOD things ahead. As this scripture says, He is our Sun and Shield and we must be wise to not allow the “WEIGHT of the WAIT” make our hearts sick, our countenance dull, or take us out of alignment with God. There is too much at stake and great faith is required to soar higher and launch into the deep with Him.
