Release the Light of Jesus

Revelation from the Lord
A call to release the light and love of Jesus in these dark times!
As I was scrolling through social media grieved by all the chaos and destruction I was seeing and reading about. I began praying for the people, for the land and for our nation. From issues of young children being sexualized to mimic the example of what we see on TV. We really must open our eyes and pay attention. Don’t you remember the super bowl show back in February of 2020 of scantily dressed popular female music icons shaking their bodies in very sexual ways, climbing up a stripper pole, then joining young girls singing “born in the ”. If you think about it, this was all right before the pandemic hit. There is so much more going on in these times, including the government exerting control over the people, political scandals, sex trafficking rings exposed, pedophilia, shutting down churches and businesses, extreme censorship on social media and the news. It goes on and on to the destructive fires burning in California, Oregon and Washington.
The pictures I saw were like nothing I had ever seen in my lifetime. Pure desolation with red skies filled with smoke and ash. I felt the Holy Spirit and heard the words to a song by the rock band Stixx, released back in 1982 singing, RED SKIES AT NIGHT, RED SKIES AT NIGHT. I pressed in with the Lord for greater revelation as to why He was showing me this. I looked up the words to the song and listened intently to the message of the song. The lyrics are mostly repeating the chorus, but include the verses below and can in some way relate to the times we are in.
Should have taken warning, it's just
People mourning
Running, hiding, lost
You can't find, find a place to go, so it's
Red skies at night (red skies at night)
Someone's taking over
And it looks like they're aiming
Right at you
In researching the meaning of this term further, I found there is scientific validity to the adage, "red sky at night sailors delight; red sky in the morning sailors take warning." There are also versions of this saying that refer to shepherds instead of sailors. This saying has very old roots leading to scripture in the book of Matthew, which follows the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with seven loaves and one fish. In Chapter 16, the Pharisees and Sadducees seek a sign and were testing Jesus and asking Him to show them a sign from heaven.
He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. - Matthew 16:2-3 NKJV
I encourage you at this time to align your heart with Father God and His ways. We need the Spirit of Discernment to guide us in these times. We must trust God and who He is and that His plans for us are good. While it is so important for us to be aware of the times and pray accordingly, we must remember that there is a hurt and dying world out there that needs to know Jesus and you may be their only hope.
This is a time we need to truly get on our face and humble ourselves before God, so that He can empty us of ourselves and fill us with His Spirit, so we can go and do the things He’s calling us to do. His heart is for His people to known Him and have a relationship with Him. This is a time where we must keep our eyes on Jesus and allow Him to shine through us for other’s to see and desire to know Him personally.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and hthe life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. - John 14:6 NKJV
