Going Low is the Way To Go
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” - 1 Peter 5:6-7 NKJV
In going about my everyday life, I clearly heard God speak these words, “GOING LOW IS THE WAY TO GO”. This word was an instruction for the challenges ahead and what’s taking place in the earth realm today. PRIDE has reared its ugly head in most everything we are facing. We have seen a level of exposure and uncovering that has caused many of us to question even our own emotions and motives at times. God is continuing to shine His light unveiling the darkness that is hidden all around us. In these days ahead, God has anointed us to see with increased clarity, the motives and driving forces behind many of the demonic agendas going on now and in the days to come.
In pressing in with the Lord, He brought me to James 4 which dives into how pride promotes strife. In verse 6 the scripture says, “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble”.
How many know that a prophetic word and/or revelation is an invitation to a process? This was an invitation from God to just lay my head onto His heart and rest in the comfort and safety of being close to my Father. It required obedience and discipline as this was the only way I would catch the full revelation. I needed to SLOW DOWN and UNPLUG. He was calling me unto Himself and outside of time and space. To get to that place of meeting with Him, I needed to let EVERYTHING go and lay down anything and everything I was holding onto.
The Scriptures refer to the HEART many times (134 to be exact). In Proverbs 4:23, Solomon (the wisest man in the Bible) tells us, “Above all else, GUARD YOUR HEART, for everything you do flows from it.” Until this word, I never quite connected guarding my heart with humility and humbleness.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. - Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
God created us in His image for relationship. The beauty in healthy relationships is to share what’s on our hearts. This helps us grow in love, trust, and ultimately GREATER INTIMACY. I needed to be in His arms for some heart-to heart quality time to build my TRUST in Him. It was a test of my FAITH and an eye opener as I didn’t realize how much I was holding onto, until he summoned me unto Himself.
“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” - Proverbs 11:2 NKJV
In this time of resting, I was brought to many scriptures on HUMILITY to have a better understanding of the message God has for us. It’s NO coincidence as we are in 2022, that Holy Spirit led me to 2 Samuel chapter 22. Beginning with verse 17, I find these scriptures so full of PROMISE for His people.
“He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me; For they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.” - 2 Samuel 22:17 - 20 NKJV
HUMILITY is the KEY to breaking through those stubborn attacks that never seem to let up. PRIDE is a protector and will defend and protect its position at all cost. It’s sneaky and deceiving and twists and turns words to trigger and provoke us to get offended and to defend ourselves. Pride conceals itself as a friend to our flesh. However, the Bible says to war with our flesh and die to self daily. We must RESIST the need or desire to be right, to argue, and to defend ourselves. God is our DEFENDER and will FIGHT for US.
In that chapter (22) above in 2nd Samuel, there is so much WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING of God’s ways and His Kingdom. Specifically, the promise of REWARD and RECOMPENSE being ours as we KEEP the WAYS of the LORD. Obedience and surrender to God and His Word requires great HUMILITY. If this word is speaking to you, I am here to encourage you to spend some time reading and meditating on this entire chapter for more insight and wisdom.
“For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not wickedly departed from my God.” - 2 Samuel 22:22 NKJV
The word HUMILITY means, “freedom from pride or arrogance; the quality or state of being humble”. HUMBLE means, “reflecting, expressing; or offered in a spirit of submission; not proud or haughty”.
In further reading the word of God for greater understanding that PRIDE was what brought satan to a place of thinking of himself as higher than God and resulted in him being CAST OUT of Heaven.
The word HUMILITY and it’s many variations are used in the Scriptures over 100 times. PRIDE which is the opposite of humility is one of the most difficult sins to overcome and was what ultimately kicked the accuser satan out of heaven.
To think so many of us are still being attacked by satan merely because we are Father God’s children and that’s really the only way he can get to Him. Thankfully our Father has made a way through for us and His name is JESUS. He has also given us a SWORD to fight the devil and his attacks and that is with the WORD OF GOD.
As I release this word, I have gotten a victory in a very difficult battle. Some of the battle was with myself and much of it was demonic attacks and delay. I am so amazed at how God TURNED IT AROUND and cleared my name and released the INCREASE that I literally had to war for.
I prophesy that you WILL overcome and breakthrough the battles and resistance to your moving forward and advancing His Kingdom. This is the day the Lord has made and we will REJOICE that He is GOOD all the time. He is moving on your behalf and in the great quaking and shaking, you are rising up stronger, bolder and more dangerous to darkness than ever before. This is YOUR TIME and YOUR DAY that everything turns around and your VICTORY is here. The giants have been exposed and you will have their heads. You have crossed over and you will eat of the fruit of the land that is abundant and ripe with blessings. With God on your side none can stand against you.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. The Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.” - Psalm 28:7-8
