Forerunners and Army of God

As I was spending time with the Lord, reflecting on all He’s doing in the body of Christ in these tumultuous and trying times where everything is being shaken. I felt a surge of emotion and gratitude for the pioneers and forerunners who have gone before us, paving the way for the greatest move of God we are embarking on.

To set the stage for what the Lord is revealing in this word, I looked up the definition of a pioneer and forerunner. According to dictionary.com, a “Pioneer”, is the first to open or prepare a way, etc.; to take part in the beginnings of; initiate. A “Forerunner” is someone who goes or is sent in advance to announce the coming of someone or something that follows; herald; harbinger; John the Baptist.

As we are moving and advancing the Kingdom of God at an accelerated pace, I feel a heavy burden for these pioneers and forerunners that have truly and faithfully run the race that God has set before them. I can feel and sense the agony, the anguish, the sacrifice and obedience required to pursue the things of God and their calling. Not to mention, the cost. Some have paid a cost so great, they lost everything including their lives. I truly feel for the ones that didn’t make it and broke under the pressure of the anointing, or quit before they reached their purpose and destiny.

As I continued in this posture with the Lord, I received a vision of what appeared to be “No Man’s Land”. I saw a very prominent prophetic forerunner, whom many have gleaned from the prophetic ground they have broken, for us to come through. In another vision of this same prophetic forerunner, I saw their fierceness and authority in the spirit realm. Filled with boldness and courage and a spirit of determination and perseverance, this person could not be stopped until they fulfilled their God given mandate. Even when experiencing opposition, or discouragement from others, this forerunner fought the good fight of faith. Counting the cost and risking it all for the greater things of God and Kingdom exploits.

For the kingdom is the LORD’s, And He rules over the nations. - Psalm 22:28

Souls were at stake, destinies were at stake, families were at stake, freedom was at stake. This forerunner navigated through no man’s land with tenacity and true grit covered in the full Armor of God. The shield of faith blocked the fiery darts that were sent to hinder and destroy their destiny, the breastplate of righteousness guarded their heart from betrayal, rejection and disappointment. Wielding the sword of the word of God, cutting through all opposition and enemy assignments. They navigated through the darkest places, the deepest trenches, the fiercest battles to win this war against darkness. As they broke through and took out the enemy opposition, the army of God followed and what was once too much and too great of a battle for the soldiers to win, the battle was won!

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. - Ephesians 6:13 NKJV

To understand this vision and the greater revelation of what God was unfolding, I researched and found this reference: "No Man's Land" was a popular term during the First World War to describe the area between opposing armies and trench lines. How it came to exist and how far it might extend was influenced by a variety of military and topographic factors.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

While the war we are in at this time is not a physical war, but a spiritual war. I believe the Father is giving us this perspective to reflect on and glean from, as we continue to battle this war against darkness and fear that is attempting to silence and disarm His church and nations.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. - John 10:10 NKJV

I encourage you to read up on this further to understand the heaviness of what really went on during this time and to get a context and parallel of how grateful and blessed we are to be called sons and daughters of the Most High God. To have the ultimate pioneer, our Lord Jesus Christ, who went before us to defeat darkness, to die for our sins, who shed His blood that washes us clean, who conquered the grave and rose with resurrection power. The one who gave us the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and that nothing shall by any means harm us. The one who drank from the cup of suffering, so we could have the abundant life He died for us to have.

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  - Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

As we entered into this new era and year before this pandemic came about, I heard the Lord say many of His beloved were pregnant with purpose. I prayed and prophesied full term deliveries. Shortly after, the Lord revealed spiritual “weaponry” was being birthed through his church and the weapons will be used strategically against enemy attacks, so His church can shift into its intended purpose. There’s a Kingdom synergy and formula that can only come from the Lord to activate these weapons and I believe this is the time that things turn around for His good and His glory.

Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the Lord. “Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?” says your God. - Isaiah 66:9 NKJV

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. - 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV

Father God has called us to rule and reign with Christ. Every place our feet will tread, God has given to us. He says there is no “No Man’s Land” in the Kingdom of God, just ground that has not yet been declared as His. His church will not shrink back and cower down in these uncertain times, but will rise up as a strong and mighty Army. Strategies and Kingdom assignments are being released and activated at this time. He is putting a mandate on His leaders to demonstrate and bring unity and purity in it’s fullness to His beloved bride. Prophets and worship leaders are being called and positioned to wake up the church. To release the heart of the Father, to be standard bearers, to declare the Word of God, to release the sound of Heaven, to shift atmospheres and release freedom like never before. Marching orders have been sent out. Father God is raising up an Army like the church has not yet seen. Will it be you? Will you stand for your God, your nation and His Kingdom for such a time as this? Will His church rise up and lead the body of Christ into victory?

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. - Matthew 11:12-13
